McDonald’s on Main Street in Hendersonville has something to hide: their latest health inspector score.
It’s state law that restaurants must display their most recent food safety inspection score in an area easily viewable by the public. And McDonald’s is apparently above that law, because if you went in there right now, you won’t find it [...]
We highlight really bad health inspector food safety scores from time to time–hoping to increase awareness a bit. So it’s only fair that we show the other side of the coin, and focus on a really great food safety score as well.
This week we’re praising two local restaurants for their great food safety scores (and [...]
Jim says he works in Hendersonville, and that there is a daycare near his work that had this marquee message for a couple weeks. It reads, “Please pray for our soldiers we are enrolling for Fall classes.”
Um… most daycares focus on offering supervision for little ones… you know, toddlers. Now, I’m all for stretching the [...]
$3.86
Well, the best you’re going to do today is $3.86. Two Hendersonville stations tie for today’s honor of Cheapest Gas Prices in Sumner County: the IGA Express (Keystop) on New Shackle Island Road and Dodges Store at Main Street & Center Point Road.
These two fuel stations are consistently among the lowest prices in the entire [...]
Our Gas Prices articles, and our permanent (and frequently updated) Current Cheapest Gas Prices page, are some of the more popular things on this site. And understandably so. As gas prices continue to go up, everyone’s looking for the cheapest gas in Sumner County.
People are driving less or consolidating errands to make fewer trips.

Do you have kids that attend school in Hendersonville? Or little ones in daycare?
Well, rest a little easier today knowing that the food they’re being served is safe and clean. It may not be delicious, of course–what school cafeteria do you know of that ever served something tasty? But it’s clean.
As you can see for [...]
This article is several months old, but gives lots of good details about the ever-growing Indian Lake Village area in Hendersonville that most citizens probably don’t know.
It’s going to be gigantic. Huge. More that twice the size of simiar developments in Murfreesboro & Mount Juliet. Bigger than Cool Springs. More retail space than Rivergate.
Read that [...]

Dos Margarita’s, Hendersonville
53
We used to go to Dos Margarita’s back when it was called Loco Lupe’s. Didn’t even know they’d changed names (and owners, from what I’m told) until a few months ago.
And the name isn’t the only thing that’s changed.
Apparently, they’ve also changed food safety philosophies, switching from “clean, safe food” to [...]
Some things are hard to find. You know… like, a good friend, peace of mind, the Holy Grail.
Other things, though, are actually quite easy to find if you have the energy to look around.
This poor guy’s Craigslist ad states: “Guitar String Needed. Can you help me out?”
No, man. No I cannot. Because–and I mean this [...]
“When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears.”
Everyone else… all non-righteous folk…you’re on your own, apparently.
Sorry to be the one to break it to you (unless you saw this sign yourself… in which case, I guess the sign was the one to break it to you).
If you’re already righteous… double win for you!
