You know, it was only 7 weeks ago that the cheapest local gas price was over $4.00 a gallon. Man, things can change in a hurry, can’t they?
For the first time in probably years, there are at least 9 Sumner County gas stations selling regular unleaded for less than $2.00 a gallon. I did not [...]
What the heck is up with this?
Pay with a credit card at Dodge’s Store in Hendersonville, and you’ll be charged $0.02 more per gallon.
I’m sure this is just a way for the gas station to cover a recent increase in the processing fees the credit card companies charge them. Sheesh, must every single added cost-of-doing-business [...]
Dodge’s Store, at Center Point Road and 31E in Hendersonville, currently has regular unleaded for sale at $3.04 a gallon.
What?!
Every other station between here and there (including the Mapco across the street) is at $3.69 or above.
So what gives? I can think of two possible explanations. Gas prices, to my understanding, are largely based on [...]
The schedule has been announced for the new Gallatin-to-Nashville commuter bus service. Beginning on Monday, the Regional Transportation Authority will run routes from Gallatin and Hendersonville to Nashville.
There are pick up times of 5:45am and 6:30am for folks in Gallatin–pick up is at the Wal-Mart. For Hendersonvillians, the pick up is at Khol’s in the [...]
So just about ten minutes ago I drove down Gallatin Road in Hendersonville and realized… “Hey, every station has gas now.”
Dodge’s Store is selling regular unleaded for $3.58, and the Mapco across the street from them has it at $3.45.
That was… fast.
I mean, it happened in the blink of an eye. Earlier this evening, on [...]
The race for gas is on again, as the panicky idiots merge with the level-headed citizens (who by now actually have empty tanks) at the pumps.
Here in Hendersonville, most stations are still without gas. There is an Exxon on 31E at Rockland Road that has lines
And there’s a Shell station on Walton Ferry Road that [...]
So now that everyone who didn’t really need gas–you know, those people who had 3/4 of a tank full but panicked on Friday and sat in line for hours to top off–now that they all have full tanks… it’s time for us good citizens, who wait until they actually need more gasoline to fill up, [...]
Another Friday, another self-fulfilling-prophecy on Tennessee gas shortages.
The Tennessean served up a lovely piece this morning about how Nashville area gas stations were experiencing shortages. They listed 12 stations that were out. 12 of the 250+ gas stations in the city.
Well what do you think Nashville citizens decided to do with this new-found apocalyptic scenario? [...]
You know, everyone in Middle Tennessean just needs to calm down a bit on the gasoline freak-outs. Friday’s little mini-run on gas was caused by one thing and one thing only: people being too worried about there being a run on gas.
We caused it because we were scared of it.
It’s just like a run on [...]
Hurricane Ike is set to slam into the Gulf Coast of Texas in a short while, and it’s directly impacting Sumner County–not just because of the rain we’re sure to get in about three days either.
Last night’s cheapest gas in the area was $3.46. This morning, it’s up to $3.69. That’s more than a 20 [...]
