$3.89

Well, $3.86 is gone.  It’s packed its bags and moved on.  We have a nice visit with $3.86, lasting more than two and a half weeks.  But, like all things, it had to end eventually.

Welcome if you will, the new cheapest gas price in the county, $3.89.  There are at least three Hendersonville stations offering a gallon of unleaded for that price, and they include the Mapco and the Thornton’s stations at Gallatin Road (31E) and Saundersville Road.

Kroger in Glenbrook has been at $3.89 for quite some time now–meaning that if you have a Plus card, you can actually get your Kroger gas for $3.79 a gallon.  (Kroger has got to be cleaning up on their grocery competition in the area with their ability to offer the gas discounts).

Gallatin, I’m sorry to tell you that your cheapest gas appears to be $3.93.  Answer this for me, people:  what is it about Gallatin that makes the gas there routinely four-to-six cents more per gallon?
