Actual text of a Gallatin Craigslist ad:

“traffic light

this is a real working traffic light, sorry no pics but it is in excellent condition…”

Um, you not allowed to just take those things.  I think they’re important or something.

In fact, now that I think about it, I’m darn-near positive you can’t just take stoplights down whenever you want and them sell them–I know this because I may or may not have known someone who attempted this same feat in college… they were unsuccessful (and by “unsuccessful” I mean they ended up doing some community service.)

Also, stop lights are terrifically heavy–too heavy for a few drywall screws to hold it up on your apartment wall.

But if you wanna take the risk of owning a traffic signal that may or may not be “hot,” then by all means… contact this seller.

Meanwhile, there has been an unexplained rash of fender-benders in downtown Gallatin this week… authorities aren’t yet sure of the cause.
