Sumner County Winners & Losers

Well that was fun.  We should hold these huge elections more often.  It’s fun standing in line for two hours to have a chance to push some buttons on an electronic device that appears to have been built in 1982.

But seriously, I hope everyone had a good election day, even if your favorite candidate didn’t win.

Everyone knows our next President will be Barack Obama.  Again, regardless of your politics and candidate of choice, I think we can all be impressed and inspired by the fact that this country just elected an African American to the highest office in the land.  While plenty of racism still exists (especially here in Tennessee), it is a good day for racial equality.

When I went looking for results this morning on the local races, I had a tough time finding them.  So once I did find them, I figured it would be a good thing to publish them here to make it easier for my fellow Sumner citizens to find it (the Vote Sumner TN website doesn’t even have anything up about results, oy).
