They’re Always Building More Roads Way After We Need Them
Sun, Aug 31, 2008
So it seems some local government types want to widen the bridge at Indian Lake Blvd. and Vietnam Veterans. I guess they finally figured out that the new Indian Lake Village complex has created some serious traffic problems there, and they’re going to fix it… finally… about five months after they should have already fixed it.
How come we can predict things like television ratings or major elections with complex, predictive mathematics… and yet no municipal government in the country has figured out how to do the needed road work BEFORE it’s actually needed?! Huh? Someone got an answer there?
I’m quite sure the reason is that government creates too many hurdles… too much bureaucracy to get things done quickly. But it’s pretty infuriating. Seems like they only ever talk about spending money on road improvements long after most citizens are freaking tired of the problem.
Oh well. The good news is that they’re going to widen that bridge, and that should definitely help with a lot of the traffic build up.
I can’t believe that our local officials thought a two lane bridge would totally suffice after the opening of the largest retail development in Middle Tennessee. Oy.
